Dhul Qadah calendar and Gregorian dates

ذوالقعدہ

Dhul Qadah is the eleventh month and one of the sacred months. When organizing dates before Dhul Hijjah, keep the source of your calendar visible so that different moon-sighting practices are not mistaken for calculation errors.

A LITTLE CONTEXT MAKES DATES CLEARER

Understanding the Hijri date

The Islamic calendar counts twelve lunar months. Its year is shorter than a Gregorian year, so a Hijri month appears in a different part of the seasonal year as time passes. Always include the Hijri year when sharing a date.

Calculated dates and local observation

This tool uses the tabular civil Islamic calendar. Its months follow an arithmetic 30-year cycle, not a live moon-sighting feed. Pakistan’s official month beginnings are announced through the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee. A manual adjustment changes this display; it does not make it an official calendar.

When the date changes

The widgets attach a calculated Hijri date to a Gregorian civil day in Pakistan. Religious days begin at sunset, while the civil date changes at midnight. This tool does not calculate local sunset or prayer times.

Using the month table

Choose a Gregorian date to see its Hijri equivalent, or enter a Hijri year, month, and day in the reverse converter. The month-start table and event dates use the same adjustment as your selected result.

Pakistan cities: one civil time zone

Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan, Peshawar, Quetta, Sialkot, and Gujranwala all use Asia/Karachi for the civil date. Selecting a city labels your result; it does not model local moon visibility or sunset.

Frequently asked questions

What dates are shown for August 19, 2029?

The fixed Nanakshahi date is 4 Bhadon 561 NS. The calculated Hijri date is 8 Rabi ul Thani 1451 AH, using a manual adjustment of 0 day(s).

Is the Islamic date an official Pakistan moon-sighting date?

No. It is a tabular civil Hijri calculation. Follow the local Ruet-e-Hilal announcement for official month beginnings. The adjustment control changes the calculated display only.

Are Desi, Bikrami, and Nanakshahi calendars identical?

No. They share regional month names, but their rules can differ. These Desi and Punjabi pages use fixed Nanakshahi month starts, and do not claim to reproduce traditional Bikrami astronomy.

Can I convert a date back to the English calendar?

Yes. Choose Nanakshahi, civil Hijri, or Indian National (Saka) in the reverse converter and enter a complete year, month, and day. Invalid dates are rejected.
